Summer went by so fast..
Posted by Steve | Filed under Live Shows
Thanks to everyone who has written us about the band, upcoming shows, and just to say hello. Summer went by in a flash. Mike got married. CONGRATS MIKE & JAMIE!, sorry ladies.. Tony moved out of town (yes, we’re in the market for a new bass player if you know anyone who can fill big shoes). And Ross was appointed Secretary of Agriculture (yeah we really didn’t see that one coming either!). In the meantime as we work on new material and try out some new people for the band, we have discovered a fantastic venue for acoustic acts and songwriters called Cafe Vivaldi http://cafevivaldi.com/. Look out for an “unplugged” show coming up there this fall. We’ll be back and better than ever with some new players and new material before you know it. Enjoy these last few days of summer and don’t be a stranger. /steve

Thanks to Everyone for Coming Out to the R Bar Show
Posted by Michele | Filed under Live Shows
Quick thanks to everyone for coming out to see us at R Bar – to our surprise, the days of Open Bar at R Bar are over! Which is probably just as well, as the team over at R Bar noticed that the crowd that came just for the booze did not have as much overlap with the rock and roll fan as was previously thought…
At any rate, we enjoyed having a real stage to play on again, and tried a different setup, emphasizing the entire band lined up across the stage.
“Jaw” is now a regular part of the set, and kicked things off with a bang!
Here’s the complete set list:
- Jaw
- Run From Me
- Precious Time
- Persuasive
- Falling at Your Feet
- The Climb
- You’re Worth Defending
- Victory
Next up: We prepare for the “Women in Music” showcase at the Delancey on Monday, April 13 at 8:30pm!
Break and Run Nabs Third Place in Women in Music Competition
Posted by Michele | Filed under Live Shows, News and Events
Our brainy, cool, adventurous and happening manager, Liz Imler, entered the band into the “Women in Music” competition. Based on the feedback to our songs on our MySpace page, an impartial group of fans voted us into Third Place, and a spot in the showcase at The Delancey on April 13!
We’re really excited to be a part of this great event.
We’re due to go on at 8:30, and the event is free and totally open to the public.
